UFC 240 comes to Rogers Place in Edmonton Canada for a Featherweight scrap between two of the divisions best. Max Holloway looks to defend his title against UFC veteran Frankie Edgar in a unique five-round matchup that should produce fireworks in the 145 lb headliner.

On Saturday, July 27, the UFC makes another stop to the Rogers Place in Edmonton Canada for a Pay-Per-View event with the Featherweight title on the line. Max Holloway is looking to avenge his recent loss at Lightweight after attempting to become, at the time, just the third fighter in UFC history to be a two division champ. He pairs up against one of the toughest fighters on the roster in veteran Frankie Edgar who is looking to get his hands on UFC gold for the first time since 2010. The card also features a matchup between explosive Women's featherweight contender, Cris Cyborg as she pairs up against undefeated Felicia Spencer in the co-main event.
Let’s take a look at my quick picks for UFC 240 in its entirety.
Main Card on Pay-Per-View
Max Holloway vs Frankie Edgar (Main event - title fight)
Holloway is coming off a tough loss against Dustin Poirier for the Lightweight title in April and is looking to bounce back with a win on Saturday. Many claim Holloway to be the greatest Featherweight champ of all time but Frankie has left a lasting impression on the division himself. This fight is a unique matchup stylistically with both fighters being known for their toughness and grit. I can see this fight going the distance but the high output from each fighter might say otherwise. Both Max and Frankie are high motor, non-stop fighters and the wrestling leans in the favor of Frankie but the striking in the favor of Max. I think Max finds a way to keep it on the feet and will pick apart Edgar like he has all of his opponents in the Featherweight division. Expect fireworks between these two in Saturday's main-event
Fight Prediction: Holloway via unanimous decision
Cyborg vs Spencer (Co-Main)
In her first fight back after a devastating loss to current two-division champ Amanda Nunes, Cris Cyborg is looking to get back on track in the Women's Featherweight division. She pairs up against Canada's own Felicia Spencer who holds an undefeated record and will get the toughest test of her career against an explosive striker in Cyborg. Spencer, known for her strong submission game, has to find a way to deal with the ferocious striking of Cyborg and her ability to close any fight at a moments notice. Both fighters hold black belts in their perspective style, Spencer in BJJ and Cyborg in Muay Thai, which creates an intriguing matchup for the both of them. Although each fighter has their strong suit, I believe the experience and striking of Cyborg is enough to get her back in to the win column on Saturday.
